Hi, I am Andrew Mitchison.

I am the founder of Amvisuals and Andrew Mitchison Photography. I specialise in two areas of photography, firstly Andrew Mitchison Photography the production of medium to large limited edition fine art photographic prints. These photographs range from landscapes, seascapes, drone and street photography.

Amvisuals is the corporate arm of my business. I specialise in events, commercial, stock drone video footage, website and head shot photography.

Having spent my formative years in the wilder parts of Angus in Scotland, I fell in love with its expansive landscapes and clarity of light. Using photography, I was able to capture unique fleeting moments which might have been missed by the naked eye and certainly lost in the passage of time. This is where the art of photography has and continues to inspire me, and has motivated me to obtain my City & Guilds qualification in professional photography. 

In the 1990’s, before the advent of digital technology, I honed my photographic skills using different cameras, film formats, processing, printing and mounting techniques. This gave me the foundations for my work which is now primarily digitally-based.

Fine Art Large Limited Edition Prints~

My work comprises limited edition high specification photographic prints accompanied by signed certificates of authenticity. 

Although my photographs have an outer simplicity, I take great care in their composition, using light and nature’s patterns to engage the viewer and draw a reaction. I hope my work will stay in the mind of the viewer long after the initial view.
